Our Journey

Impact

Making a Difference in Our Community

Since becoming a Community Interest Company, Team Dynamic has been turning its purpose into action.

We have created welcoming opportunities for people to become more active, improve their health and wellbeing, build confidence and feel part of a supportive community.

From community programmes and rehabilitation support to outreach and partnership working, we’re proud of the difference Team Dynamic is making and excited about where we’re heading next.

This is our journey so far.

Redby Academy

Building a Community Through Movement

Redby Academy has become an important part of Team Dynamic’s journey as a CIC and a place where our community continues to grow.

Through regular sessions, we’ve brought together people with different abilities, experiences and starting points in an environment where everyone can participate at their own level.

But the impact goes beyond physical activity.

It’s about people building confidence, developing friendships, becoming more active and feeling part of something.

For us, that’s what community health should look like.

The Tansy Centre

Supporting Rehabilitation & Wellbeing

Our work at the Tansy Centre has allowed us to develop another important part of our community impact.

It provides a supportive environment for people who may need a more gradual approach to becoming active, whether they’re rebuilding confidence, improving their movement or simply looking for somewhere they feel comfortable getting started.

The emphasis is always on what each person can do, helping them progress from their own individual starting point.

Our work at Tansy is also creating opportunities to develop relationships with organisations supporting people in the wider community, helping us strengthen future referral pathways into Team Dynamic.

Tesco Extra Sunderland

Taking Team Dynamic Into the Community

Our community outreach at Tesco Extra Sunderland gives us another way to connect directly with local people outside of our regular programmes.

Through community engagement and wellbeing activities, we can meet people in a familiar and accessible environment and start conversations around movement, health and healthier lifestyles.

This is important because not everyone will initially come looking for an exercise programme or know what support is available to them.

Sometimes positive change starts with something much smaller.

A conversation. An introduction. A little encouragement. A first step.

Taking Team Dynamic into the community allows us to reach people where they are.

Building Stronger Local Partnerships

Greater Impact Through Collaboration

One of the most important parts of our development as a CIC has been building relationships with other organisations in our community.

We continue to develop connections with community groups, organisations and services that share our ambition to help people improve their health, wellbeing and quality of life.

These relationships can help more people discover Team Dynamic, access appropriate support and find opportunities to continue progressing.

We believe lasting community impact is stronger when organisations work together rather than work alone.

Our Impact Is About People

For Team Dynamic, impact isn’t simply about how many sessions we deliver.

It’s about what changes because those sessions happened.

It’s someone moving with more confidence.

It’s someone becoming stronger and more independent.

It’s someone coming back week after week because they’ve found somewhere they feel comfortable.

It’s someone making new friendships and feeling more connected.

It’s someone discovering that physical activity can be for them.

And sometimes, it’s simply someone realising:

“I can do this.”

Those individual moments of progress are what Team Dynamic is all about.

Together, they contribute towards healthier, stronger and more connected communities.

What’s Next?

The Next Chapter for Team Dynamic

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far, but we’re not standing still.

We’re currently developing an exciting new programme connected to a National Lottery funding opportunity, which would allow us to build on our community work and broaden our approach to health and wellbeing.

The programme would bring together:

Movement • Nutrition • Mindfulness • Wellbeing • Community

Our ambition is to bring these different elements together to give people a more rounded approach to improving their health and wellbeing, while maintaining the supportive community environment at the heart of Team Dynamic.

It’s still developing, so we’re not revealing everything just yet…

There’s more to come from Team Dynamic.

We’re Just Getting Started

Our journey as a Community Interest Company continues.

We want to strengthen the communities we’ve already created, develop new partnerships, reach people who may experience barriers to physical activity and create more opportunities for people to improve their health and wellbeing.

As Team Dynamic grows, we’ll continue to stay true to the values behind everything we do:

Accessible. Supportive. Person-centred. Community-focused.

And above everything else:

Everyone Is Welcome

Community Stories

Jean Lonsdale
Over 50's Class Participant

"I have attended the exercise classes for several months. I have found the classes very enjoyable and my fitness levels have improved. I have also benefited from the Saturday Walks. I have also made new friends and enjoy the social aspect too."

Anthony Buckley
Over 50's Class Participant

"Great addition to the community. Started the class almost immediately, mainly for a little fitness, mobility and the fact it was for over 50's. After a few week it was amazing to realise how much extra mobility I had and how much I could move without aches and pains. My range of movement improved tenfold.

Excellent tutors and sympathetic to every need and worked to support everyone's capabilities. Certainly a class that seems to be assisting all age groups and creates a lot of motivation for mine especially. Thank you Team Dynamic"

Isabel Adamson
Over 50's Class Participant

"I just wanted to say how much I enjoy the over 50's fitness classes that Team Dynamic host. As an over 70's lady it is helping me maintain my strength and mobility and are keeping me in good health. I also enjoy the community spirit we are building as a class when we all meet up. The coaches are very friendly, approachable and enthusiastic and inspire all in the group to give it their best effort. Everyone feels welcome."
